We Welcome Isaac Chung to Lake Huron
- Aug 31, 2010
At a special meeting of presbytery on August 24, 2010, Isaac Chung was examined for Ordination and his call as Associate Pastor at Bay City-Westminster was approved. We welcome Isaac to Lake Huron Presbytery and look forward to working with him.
Here is a little background on Isaac:
Isaac comes to us from the First Presbyterian Church of Fullerton, CA, where he has served as the Director of Youth Ministries since 2007. While he has served as Synod Staff and in young adult, college-aged, family and youth leadership in several churches, he recently completed seminary at San Francisco Seminary’s Southern California campus and is seeking his first ordained call. Isaac has worked with the GA as a Youth Advisory Delegate Leader as well as on staff at Triennium and Montreat Youth Conferences.
Most of all, Isaac says, “I love Jesus Christ and I want to partner with a ministry that encourages and challenges this passion in me and in others.” The APNC has found him to be thoughtful, authentic, passionate, energetic, and engaging, and knows he will bring all that and more to the ministries at Westminster.
Isaac was born in Bangladesh and was raised in Pakistan while his parents served as PC(USA) missionaries, and has one brother and one sister who are also in ministry. He enjoys sports and is a die-hard Dodger fan. He is single and lives with his beloved golden retriever, Sammy.
